For you, my love, I have written this poem, for he who is not even mine. This ache in my chest can be caged no longer, I'll bandage it up with a rhyme.

Have you seen me ache, and turn in my sleep? For I dream of you always, and wake as I weep.

Have you seen me yearn, the way silent loves do? Though I miss you forever, there is room just for two.

You've seen me smile, and laugh without care, For I choose what I show and this I won't share.

For you, my love, I have written this poem, for he who shall never be mine. This ache in my chest has only grown stronger, I'll be swallowed by love in due time.

a note from the artist-

"I wrote this poem based on my one-sided feelings for one of my friends. We've known each other for a while, and recently I've been pondering if I'm in love with him. This piece is basically just a sappy love note that will never be sent."
