to be domesticated in the wild

Photography, k.p. mills

I took this photo while on a driving trail in smokey mountain national park, and it struck me how odd the behavior of the animals we saw were. They were quiet and calm, never disturbed by our presence, allowing us to be voyeurs to their behavior. The unnatural feeling of being feet away from a coyote as he jogs past is one i think i will never shake, and i often relate to him, feeling subdued and complicit to my circumstances.
